20/05 – 24/05/06	WATER, SANITATION AND HYGIENE IN EMERGENCIES COURSE WASH Course for Watsan Coordinators Action Against Hunger Moia (Girona)	Course held by Action Against Hunger (AAH) in Cataluña for Watsan Coordinators of the organization working in developing countries. For this course, AAH invited trainers from Oxfam GB, RedR, advisers from AAH and FLASH. FLASH provided modules on “Water Treatment and Sanitation in emergencies”, “Pumping Systems” “Health and Water”, “Disinfection”, “Water trucking”. 05/02 – 09/02/07	WATER, HYGIENE AND SANITATION IN EMERGENCIES COURSE Intermon Oxfam University of Santo Domingo Dominican Republic	Course held by Intermon Oxfam within the framework of an humanitarian fair in Dominican Republic for local counterparts (NGOs, national agencies) of Intermon Oxfam. The course offered several modules from Sanitation up to Water Distribution in the context of possible emergency programs. 07/06 – 15/06/07	MASTER IN ENVIRONMENT AND INTERNATIONAL COOPERATION EOI-Madrid (Business School Madrid) Madrid	First edition of this master in Madrid technically coordinated by AAH FLASH provided modules on “Health and Water”, “Sanitation”, “Water Sources” and “Water Treatment” in Emergencies. FLASH developed and offered a practical workshop in Vallmayor dam where a treatment plant was installed in association with the company SEINE. 29/10 – 01/11/07	PPD LOGISTICS: TECHNICAL AND PRACTICAL DAYS FOR FIRST DEPARTURE PREPARATION FOR LOGISTICIANS Doctors Without Borders - Spain Mollet del Valles (Barcelona)	FLASH developed for Doctors Without Borders-Spain (MSF) a course for the practical and technical preparation of logistic staff before first departure to the field. During this 3-intensive day’s course in English, FLASH trains the staff on technical and basic knowledge of an MSF project. 12/05 – 16/05/08	MONOGRAPHIC COURSE: POTABLE WATER TREATMENT IN EMERGENCIES AECID (Spanish Agency of International Cooperation and Development) Antigua - Guatemala	After almost one year of contacts, communication and preparations, FLASH managed in association with AECID to organize a course of preparation for emergencies for technical staff of the AECID local counterparts in Guatemala. A complete course with modules which covered all the process from initial assessment in emergencies, up to procedures of water treatment by means of materials habitually used by AECID. For it, AECID transferred and donated to the INFOM a simplified system of water treatment (fast filtration). FLASH designed, prepared and implemented the course in association with AECID in the training centre of AECID in Antigua. Independently of the participations in training courses, FLASH has developed didactic concepts and materials for training courses, has been involved in research of material and equipment for humanitarian aid and participated in numerous meetings to set up training plans of various organizations. The year 2008 was also an intense year regarding our training centre “Can Mola” near Barcelona, where we are rehabilitating some classrooms and the surroundings of an old Masia with our own hands. Gradually and with our means, we are trying to set up a solid infrastructure (proper minibus, training centre, equipment, etc.) and to gain more and more trainers and organizations interested in our project.

In 2008, FLASH did also short missions and consultancies in Yemen and Guinea Bissau for the projects of Medicos sin Fronteras Spain.
